Mo Farah breaks 25 year old British road 10k record

Gareth and me were only saying at the weekend that many of the British records for distance events were set back in the 80's and are still standing, then Mo Farah goes and breaks the British Road 10K record.

Read about it here http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/athletics/8066984.stm

These records are all a bit confusing to me. What record did Mo break? Was it the best 10k time by ANY athlete in a race in the UK or was it the best time by a UK athlete in the UK? FYI, Nick Rose (Eng) ran 27-34 in 1984 in the US.

PS - is there any sort of list of various records achieved by Spen athletes?

best bet for spen records would be to ask Ivan or Frank. I know Ivan keeps a lot of results, but I guess it's mainly cross country. I think we should pursue this though, it would be nice to have an official records list, for specific distances, including Vet categories. I'll bring it up at the comittee meeting.
